REAL ESTATE and PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX PAYMENTS:  January 31st is the final day to make your payment.  Pay either the FULL PAYMENT (total tax amount billed) OR the FIRST INSTALLMENT (larger Installment amount which includes special assessments) by January 31st to the Town of Whitewater.

Tax bills are mailed by the 3rd Monday in December……….

**Payments made ON or BEFORE January 31st please make checks payable to and mail to:

Or pay at the Whitewater Town Hall during office hours or drop in the drop box in the brown door to the right of the main glass door.  Payments will be receipted and a receipt sent to the address on the tax bill. Reminder about new office hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM.

 **Payments made AFTER January 31st and all second installment payments should be made payable to:

Elkhorn, WI 53121

DO NOT send any tax payments to the Town Hall after January 31st.

The County Building in Elkhorn has a drop box in the parking lot between the first and second rows of parking spaces.

 

STILL NEED TO MAKE A PAYMENT ON YOUR TAXES AFTER JULY 31st?

If you need to make a payment for outstanding Real Estate Taxes you must contact the Walworth County Treasurer’s office for the current amount including interest that you owe.  Call their office at 262-741-4251.

Address Changes:  You have two options to change the address where tax bills are mailed: 1) Go to the Walworth County Website (http://www.co.walworth.wi.us/) and click on Online Services (on the top horizontal menu bar), then click on Treasurer Real Estate & Personal Property Tax Search, agree to the disclaimer, search for your parcel and enter the new address there. Next to the Mailing Address, they will find a Request Mailing Address Change. 2) Contact the Walworth County Register of Deeds office at 262-741-4233 by November 15.  **Remember to purchase your dog licenses by March 31 of each year.
