Special Board Meeting
Norm Prusener called the meeting to order at 9:30 AM.
In attendance: Norm Prusener, Bob Strand, Jorja Boiley, Carl Ahrens, Lowell Hagen
Bob Strand made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Norm Prusener, motion carried
Bob Strand made a motion to approve the minutes from August 17, 2021 and September 24, 2021, Norm Prusener seconded the motion, the motion passed unanimously.
The requested approval for a driveway permit at N7447 Linden Dr. is tabled until the 10-13-2021 Board Meeting.
There is an October 15, 2021 deadline to submit application for the LRIP (Local Road Improvement Projects) grant for the years 2022-2023. Both Carl Ahrens and Bob Strand attended an informational meeting at the County about the application process. There are additional grants for which the town can apply. Carl has learned from contacts at the Towns of Richmond and Darien that the application process requires outside assistance from an engineering perspective. An engineer can assess the needs for various roads and will also submit the grant applications on behalf of the Town.
Norm made a motion to spend up to 5K to hire an engineer to supply information and submit the applications. The motion was seconded by Bob and the motion passed.
Norm made a motion to upgrade traffic counter through same supplier as the one purchased during the summer for a cost of about $500.00, Bob seconded the motion and the motion carried.
Norm made a motion to order the street signs needed on Woodchuck Alley, the motion was seconded by Lowell, the motion carried.
Norm made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:20 AM, seconded by Bob, the motion carried.
