MINUTES FOR MONTHLY BOARD MEETING

November 10, 2021

 

Lowell Hagen called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM
In attendance were Lowell Hagen, Norm Prusener, Bob Strand and Jorja Boiley

Norm made a motion to approve the agenda as amended, seconded by Bob and the motion carried.

After a review of the minutes from the October 25, 2021 Special Board Meeting, Norm made a motion to accept the minutes as written, seconded by Bob, the motion carried.

Treasurer report: the account balances were read. Norm made a motion to accept the Treasurer report, seconded by Bob, the motion carried.

Supervisor reports:

Norm shared that all the permits for the Hill Drive project have been submitted. The project should happen in the Spring before the lake opens.

Bob Strand: the Burr Oak Road project will be done on Saturday, November 13, 2021.

Lowell – no report

Sheriff’s report: there were 197 service calls in October. A suggestion was made to increase patrol activity during the opening and closing of school as there seems to be an increase in poor traffic flow. Also, a suggestion to install more neighborhood watch signs.

Mr. Speerbrecher requested combining the two vacant lots (#13 and #14, Block 5 Moraine Park Subdivision). Norm made a motion to approve combining the two lots, the motion was seconded by Bob and the motion carried.

Bob reported on a WE Energies application for work on W7759 Deerwood Drive. The work involves some trenching for which the Town requires a $1,000.00 permit fee, plus a cash bond in the amount of $3500.00 which would cover any costs to repair damage not repaired by WE Energies after completion of the project. Bob made a motion to collect the bond and not include the permit fee, Lowell asked for a second twice and without a second the motion was denied.

Whitewater Fire and Ambulance contract has not been received, however, the Department shared estimates for the new contract and the amount is within the new budget projections. Norm made a motion to approve the dollars as quoted, Lowell seconded the motion and the motion carried.

Rural Insurance also sent renewal estimates and those dollars also were within the budget projections.

Norm made a motion to adopt the budget as printed, seconded by Lowell and the motion carried.

Monthly bills were approved and checks were signed.

Norm made a motion to adjourn to closed session at 8:05 PM, the motion was seconded by Bob and the motion carried.
