Drop boxes and early, in-person voting

In a lawsuit filed by 2  Wisconsin voters, the State’s Supreme Court ruled that unmanned, absentee ballot drop boxes are illegal. For all future elections, please do not place absentee ballots in the drop box at the Town Hall. You may mail your ballots (W8590 Willis Ray Road, Whitewater, 53190) OR deliver them in person during posted Town Hall hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM.

Also please note that if you are going to deliver your ballot in person, it must be your ballot – not for a spouse, other family member or friend.

Per election law, the Town of Whitewater offers the opportunity to vote early, in-person at a time/day no earlier than 14 days prior to the actual election day. The Clerk determines those dates/times and posts that information on the Town website, at the Town Hall bulletin board, the Flowing Well and via email if you have provided your email address. You may always call 262-473-4639 and set an appointment, if the posted dates and times do not work with your schedule. For the November 2022 election, early voting opportunity starts on October 25, 2022.

Thank you for your cooperation…
